The trend in golf outings is to host a 9-hole event, rather than an 18-hole outing. There are many benefits for choosing 9 holes for your outing:
- Less expensive greens fees = more money for your charity.
- Quicker round of golf = you will get more participants in your event. 18 holes take almost 6 hours to play, while 9 holes take less than 3 hours. Many people do not have the time to be away for a full day of golf.
- Novice golfers will feel more comfortable playing 9 holes rather than 18 = more participation.
